The Australian Government Department of Agriculture is leading the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH) 2020 in Australia.

Australia’s Chief Plant Protection Officer chairs a steering committee for the IYPH2020 in Australia, comprised of departmental staff and representatives from Plant Health Australia, peak industry bodies and other key stakeholders.

Plant Health Australia (PHA) is the national coordinator of the government–industry partnership for plant biosecurity. The company is funded by 39 plant industries, all Australian governments, plant-related research and development corporations and other stakeholders.
